Blue, green and clear water…could be the Caribbean. One fisherman caught a kingfish, ladyfish, spanish mackrel, bluefish, and a mangrove snapper in the same morning. See the red drum caught below. It was released, rescued from buoy status, decompressed, and finally released again to survive another day!

Another highly successful and very fun paddle race. The 2nd annual Paddle for Parkinsons race benefiting Catch the Cure foundation was held in North Padre on Saturday, Sept 3rd. Lots of kayak teams, a few sleek canoes, and several stand up paddlers kept the race competitive. Congrats to all, especially the Port A contingent with high schoolers, moms,  teachers, and deputy city manager!
